I recently had the opportunity to see and hear Mike Phibbs, the unaffiliated candidate for Douglas County sheriff. For the first time, I encountered a candidate with experience and credentials that were so overwhelming, I wondered whether he was overqualified for the job.
Mike has over 30 years in law enforcement, with 16 of those years as a police chief. He holds a master's degree in a law enforcement-related field and has trained with the FBI National Academy. He has served eight years on the Colorado Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) working with the Colorado legislature on every bill related to law enforcement and public safety.
Clearly Mike has experience at every level of law enforcement. Additionally, being able to negotiate with all different legislators prepares him for working effectively with any Douglas County group he might encounter. Mike is a true law enforcement professional, and we would be lucky to have him as our sheriff. Please vote for Mike Phibbs.
