The Douglas County School Board passed a mill and bond in 2019. A lockdown and three years later, the board is again requesting more money. Why?
DCSD has lost over 3,500 students since 2017-2018 and there are 200 more teachers. Per pupil revenue (PPR) from the state was $7,389 in 2017-2018.
Today it is $9,191. The board is broadcasting a cash shortage but less than half of the last tax increase went to increasing teacher pay. Say no to MLO.
