The South Metro Denver Small Business Development Center
graduated its most recent Colorado Leading Edge:
NxLeveLTM for Start-Ups participants Dec. 12.
The graduation ceremony was at the South Metro Denver Chamber of
Commerce, where participants have been spending one evening a week
for the past 12 weeks gaining instruction on how to write a
comprehensive business plan.
In attendance were John Brackney, President/CEO of the South Metro
Denver Chamber of Commerce, Darrell Schulte, President of the
Colorado Business Bank Littleton Branch, and Marcia McGilley,
Executive Director of the South Metro Denver SBDC.
Sixteen students completed the course and were awarded with
certificates recognizing their accomplishment. At the end of the
class, students were invited to submit their business plans into a
class competition, and four winners were chosen and announced at
the graduation ceremony. Lynnea Louison of Sushimee, a candy sushi
company, won first place and was awarded $300; Heather Kreider of
AfterLife Celebrations, won second place and was awarded $200; and
David Hutton of Anonymous Stickers and Jason McDonald of AJ's
Firehouse Restaurant and Brewery tied for third place and were each
awarded $100.
